Forest Bathing

Sat Apr 25, 13:00 - Sat Apr 25, 16:00

Hartspad Adventure Trails

ABOUT

A gentle, guided forest bathing experience to help you connect to nature through all of your senses. We will start with a brief introduction from your guide, who will provide more information on forest bathing (also known as shinrin-yoku).

During the walk, the guide will adhere to a standard sequence as developed by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. The aim of the standard sequence is to help you slow down and experience nature through your senses. We will periodically gather to share stories and insights from our explorations - during these sharing opportunities, there is no pressure for you to speak if you do not wish to do so.

The walk in its entirety lasts 3 hours, and we end with healthy snacks and a tea which the guide prepares from a plant found on the trail. The walk happens at a very gentle pace.

Please note we aim to keep groups small and intimate to ensure individual attention. For this reason, tickets for this event are limited. In order to promote the practice of forest bathing in South Africa, tickets for our first five events are offered at a special discount rate and include access to the trail we will be walking on, the service of the guide, and healthy snacks. Head on over to our Facebook page for more information.

Before you can buy tickets for this event, you will be asked to complete a registration form. This is necessary in order for us to be able to e-mail you with full meetup instructions before the walk, and also to inform the guide about any medical conditions you may have. Your answers to the registration questions are confidential and are necessary to help us ensure we keep you safe during this event.
