Venue Info:

Hidden among the bushveld of the majestic Magaliesberg Mountains, Bsorah is situated near the Hartebeespoort Dam, less than an hour away from Johannesburg and Pretoria. Despite being so close, you will find yourself in a totally different world. Africa at it’s best.

The 1600-hectare farm consists of dense bush, open grassland and riverine vegetation which runs along streams flowing into the Skeerpoort river. Game includes kudu, nyala, waterbuck, impala and blesbuck, as well as warthogs, baboons and nocturnal species such as brown hyena and jackal. Here you can relax in a natural environment where the twitter of birds, the presence of roaming game and the trickle of a gentle stream is all that surrounds you.

Trail: 10km / Easy

Fitness: You are required to have an intermediate level of fitness for most of the hikes (4km/hr. or 14min/km). Ensure to bring enough water. At least 2+ liters per person.

Time:

Registration: 7am

Hike Briefing: 7.45am

Hike Start: 8.00am

Gates will be closed from 7.00 am. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED IN AFTER 7.30 am.

If you don’t arrive before 7.30 am, we will lock the gate and leave without you.

How to find us:

We will meet in the Parking Lot.

NB! COVID-19 Rules:

Farm is on the border of Gauteng and NW.

Maintain at least 2 meters between hikers.

Wear a face mask or buff. No physical contact.

Indemnity:

By buying a ticket you accept you indemnify Start Hiking Today and the EVENT LEADERS against any claim which you or your family or our VENUE OWNERS may have in respect of any loss, damage or personal injury, death, medical or hospital expenses, or any other liability of any nature whatsoever which may be caused by or arise out of the activities of the Club, irrespective of whether such accident, damage, expenses or other losses or injury is caused by negligence or any act or omission on the part of members of the Club. You further agree to abide by the Constitution as well as the Rules and Regulations of the Start Hiking Today.
