Combatting Shack Fires:We can make a difference

Every year thousands of people, many of them children, die in Shack Fires in informal settlements across the country. We would like to prevent these deaths by providing those living in close quarters - often without access to water, with fire extinguishers. We will sell the extinguishers to raise money for shack fire victims The extinguishers will go initially to area most in need

We would like to ensure that every shack has access to an extinguisher. Ultimately, we would like to save lives. Any fire to property is devastating, and has huge emotionally and economic repercussions. While prevention would be the best option, in the case of a fire, at least an extinguisher has the potential to mitigate loss of life.
