ABOUT

We’re standing at a precipice; technology is ready to break new grounds and drastically improve our lives. There are grand expectations for what’s to come in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, but understanding how to make technology human-centric will be the difference.

If technology adds no value to us as people, it is doomed to fail. But, should it succeed, it has the potential to define our future, our profit lines and the everyday lives of our customers who use it. This book provides a rock-solid framework for building a business that will thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the new environment it will usher in.

Technology fails unless it adds value to people’s lives. People are the centerpiece of life, the purpose behind the products and services we create. Your next speaker shares insight into bridging the gap between people and technology.

A catalyst and visionary, Mike has pioneered a number of businesses to meet people’s needs in a digital economy.

He is the CEO of DigitLab, a strategic digital agency dedicated to solving business challenges. He is also the founder of the DigitLab Academy and two non-profit organisations focused on supporting women in digital and young entrepreneurs.

Mike is an internationally acclaimed speaker and the author of three books. He has received global recognition as a digital thought leader, with a deep belief that entrepreneurship is one of the most powerful solutions to poverty.

Using his frenetic energy and mischievous curiosity, he thrives in processing the complex and distilling it into simple formulas and solutions.

Join founder and CEO, Jacques Velleman, as he interviews international speaker, CEO, Entrepreneur and father, Mike Saunders on his groundbreaking third book: Human Centric - Building successful businesses in the 4th Industrial Revolution.

About The Business Book Club:

The Business Book Club was founded in April 2017 with the purpose to share knowledge in a business context. Knowledge is the start of change, an inevitable process of business (and life), and one can obtain it through various means. Books are our favourite way and what better than to have a conversation with the author. Sharing knowledge through questions and answers helps us understand how each of us can affect change in a positive way.

The Business Book Club meets every month, where we invite an author to showcase their book and share their knowledge. Through conversations with the author, we grow our leadership capability by understanding how we can change our business environments.

*Due to Covid and the fact that our events are online at the moment, we are unable to collect second-hand books for our cause, you are welcome to donate cash and we will purchase the books for distribution to those in need.
