1928 house in need of new roof

About

Our home was built in 1928 and still has the original wood shingle roof, over the years we have tried to maintain it to keep it structurally sound, but sadly it has now come to the point where it needs to be replaced, with the current struggles in South Africa we are not able to find employment and we can not afford to pay for a totally new roof.

When it rains we have two significant leaks into the house itself mainly the lounge (a sitting room which has wooden floors) and the kitchen which is dangerous as the water pours in over the electrical supply box which can cause a fire.

This beauty we call Lady Brigid needs to be saved, and we are asking for help to save her. She will turn 100 in 5 years' time making her a Heritage Home. We have the 100 yr old Historical Jeppe High School for Boys to our right and Jeppe High School for Girls to our left as well as the famous Historical Kensington Castle, so our area is very rich in history and we need to maintain the Heritage of our beautiful village.

We thank you for your valuable time, and can only offer Prayers & Blessings to everyone going through their own struggles right now.

Best Regards

Dee & Daren
