Join us in the beautiful Silvermine for a fun and informative morning on the trails, guided by some of our awesome Hike Club guides and ambassadors.
Who are these HIKE CLUB days aimed at?
The Hikes will be short, sweet and achievable for almost anyone.
We are targeting the newbie hikers and those who are looking for a place to start, but if you are a slightly more experienced hiker or walker who is keen for a relaxing morning on new trails you are most welcome to join in!
Route description
Distance: 5 - 6km
Elevation gain: 300m - 400m
Location: Silvermine Nature Reserve (enter via Gate 1)
Total hours: 2.5 - 3 hours
Time: 8:15am (the Silvermine Gate 1 opens at 8am)
Overview
The Elephant's Eye Cave is located in Silvermine Nature Reserve and forms part of Table Mountain National Park. The mountain looks like the shape of an Elephant's head and the cave is located where the "eye" would be.
A route for everybody who loves hiking no matter the expertise level! Suitable for children and offers breathtaking views of Constantia and Tokai.

- Make sure you arrive on time as we will start the briefing at 8:15am and leave at 8:30am sharp

-There is no charge for this hike, but there is a ENTRY FEE at the gate to get into Silvermine; R50pp and a special lower rate for kids. CASH ONLY , NO CARDS.
