ABOUT

South African-born composer, Nkululeko Zungu, is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado where his studies focused on contemporary styles of composition. He finds pleasure in exploring music from traditional Classical to modern Electronic. A highlight in his career is having his music performed by world renowned contemporary ensemble, the Wet Ink Ensemble, headed by Pulitzer Prize recipient, Kate Soper. His music has been heard in performance spaces around the world including the University of Cape Town, University of California, Los Angeles, and the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery in Colorado. Nkululeko places much importance on sharing his culture through his writing and pedagogy. His recent project, South African Folk Songs Collection with Hal Leonard publications is now available in print.


Nkululeko will share at the piano a blend of traditional and contemporary Western Art music during the evening of The Final Study. This event is family friendly.
