Jack and the Beanstalk – A pantomime by Janice Honeyman
It´s panto time again! Come and join Jack the Joller on his quest to save the duly-unruly Raspberry Rose from the claws of Giant Grumbleguts up in Cloudland. Meanwhile, down in Doedoela Dorp his mother, Dame Miemie Mosbolletjie Melba is trying to get upwardly mobile with her new BFF, Auntie Merle, the Chief Crime-Crusher and Community Care-Taker. And the Doedoela Dorpenaars have to contend with the horrible henchman of the Giant, Hendrik Hideoso, a not-so-successful evil sidekick with aspirations of emulating Vladimir Putin. There is also a Fabulous Fairy with a fear for heights, the narrator, plot orchestrator and character manipulator that guides our hero on his way to success, Jack´s #sillysiblings and off course, Daisy the Cow and Henrietta Hen. Dancing, singing, audience participation, no shortage of puns and all the raucous, riotous fun that is pantomime!
