Tree Walk
Sun Sep 11, 08:30 - Sun Sep 11, 11:30
The Sheds, Crocodile River Reserve
ABOUT
We drive and walk past trees countless times a day, barely noticing that they are there. Have you ever stopped to think about how important trees are to us and our environment?
- Trees give off oxygen that we need to breathe.
- Trees reduce the amount of storm water runoff, which reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways and may reduce the effects of flooding.
- Many species of wildlife depend on trees for habitat.
- Trees provide food, protection, and homes for many birds and mammals.
Join Cheryl Dehning on Sunday, 11th September 2022, for a veld walk to uncover the incredible diversity of our highveld trees.
