A little something about Bon Bon:
Bon Bon hails from Beautiful Cape Town, South Africa. Known as the "Sweetheart of Burlesque", Bon Bon has over 10 years under her belt as a Burlesque Artiste and Teacher.
Bon Bon is also a Co-producer and Co-founder of Redress Burlesque, which is the first South African Burlesque show solely for Burlesque artists of Color. She has also recently teamed up with Betty Behave, together they have created BB productions which hosts a monthly show called VARIETEASE.
Bon Bon currently holds the title of Miss Hotlicks, Queen of Choreography crowned at the Baby Grand Burlesque Festival in 2021 as well as in 2019. Bon Bon brings her high energy, powerful choreography, and versatility to the stage and is not scared to take on a challenge.
For the past 2 years, Bon Bon has been invited to perform virtually for the First Annual Online Burlesque Festival 2020, Salvaje Argentina Burlesque Festival 2020 and 2021, and the Glasgow Burlesque Festival 2020 to name but a few. Bon Bon also performs Live shows with Black Orchid Burlesque Dance Academy, The Rouge Revue Dance Company, OH Baby Productions, and various Private Events.
What can you do to Help?
With New Orleans and Sweden calling me, I need to raise enough funds to be able to purchase my flight tickets and Accommodation.
Flights (New Orleans/Sweden) - R 34,000
Accommodation (New Orleans/Sweden) - R 12,000
This is a total of R 46,000 and why I am asking for assistance in raising R 25 000 towards this total.
Any amount is a step closer to me being on that stage in New Orleans and Sweden.
Why such short notice for raising funds you ask?
I had been accepted to both Amazing festivals but was not sure I was going to make it to New Orleans as I was not able to get an appointment for my US Visa... but with the help of my Burly Godmother (Lady M), I was able to secure an appointment and be approved. So, therefore, as everyone knows, it can be quite expensive to fly across the world and I quickly decided to raise some funds.
