DANCE FOR CANCER CARE
Secret Sunrise will be bringing joy to the cancer community by holding a dance on the 10th December for cancer patients, survivors and caretakers of all ages (i.e all those who have been or are currently affected by cancer).
WHAT TO EXPECT
Using headphone technology, headsets are handed to you on arrival. Our accredited facilitators guide you through a series of music of all genres. Secret Sunrise sessions encompass a variety of mindful practices, including meditation, breath work, movement and dance.
Each session is unique, often curated according to a theme that attendees come together to celebrate and are encouraged to dress up. We welcome all bodies, ages and fitness levels, backgrounds and creeds. Our sessions are fully accessible to everybody.
THE VALUE OF ATTENDING
The formulae which makes Secret Sunrise such a success over the past decade includes evidence based health benefits underpinned by a science called psychoneuroimmunology. This fascinating and HOPE filled evidence is clear and unquestionable; the community aspects, initial awkwardness, playful interaction and meditative elements affect your hormone expression, epigenetics, towards health and regeneration in our physical bodies. LOVE YOUR NUTS FOUNDATION
We are thrilled to be partnered with Love Your Nuts Foundation - a registered Section 18A, non-profit testicular cancer awareness campaign based in South Africa.
The goal of Love Your Nuts is to raise awareness of (testicular) cancer by educating communities about the rarely spoken about cancer that often remains undetected in young adults due to our diverse society in South Africa, where cultural taboos, stigmas and a lack of knowledge about the subject is widespread.
