The Notes of the Ancestral Spirits

Ancestral spirits were often contacted by mediums through dreams and in states of trance, as were the high gods and other nonhuman spirits. They would provide people with information about the causes of disease, death and other misfortunes. Sometimes they would prescribe new medicines or new varieties of magic. Other times, the spirits would demand their human protégés to sing and dance for their entertainment, and to ensure goodwill and the prosperity of the community. This show aims to revive and preserve the spirits of our forefathers.
