The Songmakers' Guild presents: Landscapes of the Heart (Stellenbosch)

ABOUT

Vienna-based South African mezzo-soprano Megan Kahts joins forces with world-renowned German Lied pianist Daniel Heide for a programme beginning with intimate Schumann and Brahms cycles – which lie at the heart of the treasury of classical song-making – and spanning English-language repertoire by the Viennese composer Korngold, the South African composer Klatzow and the American composer Barber. This programme covers the artists’ home grounds and includes music which is of central importance to them, while representing several facets of a unique musical partnership.
