The Feminine Force will take the stage, fronted by The One Who Sings - AKA Zolani Mahola; former lead singer of pan-African supergroup Freshlyground.  The One Who Sings has assembled a diverse collective of artists, including Sky Dladla, a virtuoso of traditional African instruments, and Genevieve Lee, a classically trained singer whose exploration of Amazonian medicine music adds a unique dimension to the collective's sound. Additionally, the accomplished bass player and pianist, Cal Thompson, brings her expertise and innovation to The Feminine Force. Percussionist and singer Ntombe Halam is a recent graduate of UCT’s African Music Department. The final member of the band is drummer and singer Chante Phillips whose power on the drums is only matched by the sweetness of her voice.

Kush Mahleka, known by her birth name Lindokuhle Mahleka, is a remarkable 29-year-old word Expressionist hailing from the Eastern Cape, with roots spanning Ngqeleni, King William's Town, Uitenhage, Tabankulu, and Port Elizabeth. Her artistic prowess extends beyond the pages of her own book, "One Year Stand: Moments and Memories," as she has collaborated with renowned artist Amanda Black on her powerful album "Power," lending her voice to the captivating intro track.

Adding to her impressive repertoire, Kush Mahleka's latest endeavor includes a feature on Mobi Dixon's album "When House Was House," where her soul-stirring vocals grace the introductory track "Uthunyiwe."
