ABOUT
The AFRI ART & FASHION SHOW is an annual event that showcases African talent and skills in art and fashion, providing an opportunity for artisans to exhibit their products to a global market.
The event aims to uplift the artisanal community by giving them visibility and economic freedom through the exhibition of their products. In the 2022 edition, 100 art and fashion products were exhibited on the runway, with over 200 physical participants and 300 viewers online.
The event offers an opportunity for artisans to connect with buyers, gather feedback, and make connections with a wider network to sell their products. The 2023 edition will have at least 35 exhibitors of crafts, visual art, and fashion made in Uganda. The runway show will showcase 45 models displaying over 200 fashion and art products for one and a half hours. Additionally, there will be a Food Tourism activity where attendees can taste six traditional dishes of Uganda and learn about the history and traditions of Ugandan food.
