In SPECIFICALLY CATHY, multi award-winning performer Brendan van Rhyn, gives audiences a sneak peak and backstage pass into the life of his deliciously decadent alter-ego (and at the best of times "voice of reason"), Cathy Specific. It promises to be a light-hearted evening of fun and fabulousness with SA’s sassy, singing stewardess! Brendan even takes you back to 1984, the year he put on a dress for the very first time. It was to change his life forever. Cathy, with whom he shares half of his head space, is without a doubt the country’s First Lady of Flying and Poster Girl for travel. Instantly intimidating and ridiculously regal, she has been stealing hearts since she made her debut in October 2007. As the darling of the media and a red-carpet-regular, this seductive saucy Aviation Goddess has enjoyed immense success both on-stage and off and has even been nominated as South Africa’s fifth best-dressed woman! She has been delighting audiences wherever she has landed and is the first one to say that the ‘sky is not the limit!’ Miss Specific is a familiar face on the corporate circuit both locally and abroad but is yet to receive a marriage proposal. She always says if you go for her you get “two for the price of one!"

It's difficult not to be touched in some way when meeting this Queen of the Skies, whether it be emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically, inappropriately, all of the above and not necessarily in that order! And this time it's no different. Raw, real, unfiltered and unapologetic would be the best way of describing this one-woMAN show.
