Saturday Night Live is a series of beautiful, intimate performances from some of the most exciting talent Cape Town and South Africa has to offer, hosted at the KAYA Café. Saturday Night Live is an event for performers to take in their own direction, creating an environment for audiences to engage deeply with the music, the meaning, and the people behind it all.

Brandon Grant is a Cape Town-based singer-songwriter and live looping artist. Having played at many different venues locally and abroad, he brings a charismatic and dynamic solo performance to any setting. Using his trusty acoustic guitar, vocals, bass, and loop pedal setup, Brandon builds his

songs from scratch, right in front of the crowd. He describes his sound as indie folk blended with a unique contemporary soul edge. Brandon mixes his sets between his expressive originals and up-beat popular covers, flipped with his unique sound. His new single ‘With You’ is out now!

The show will be opened by musician Courtsyde! Cape Town based Courtsyde prefers his peanut butter smooth. He lives by the legend to “slow it down and make it funky”.

Making sounds in his beat pit is what he loves most. With the help of his guitar, drum pads and record player, he discovers a range of sounds in the realms of lofi hip-hop, R&B and afrohouse either accompanied by his own vocals or members of the infamous Dank Neighbourhood.
