Join us on Saturday 27th April at Living Roots Nursery, Claremont as we celebrate Autumn. You can expect a fun morning of workshops and exciting activities for kids. In Season Food Market will have a host of fresh organic fruit and veg on sale, as well as a delicious food and drinks menu to tantalize your taste buds.

Bokashi Hub: FREE - All day

Learn to compost your kitchen scraps using the Bokashi System. Let's get organic waste out of the landfills! Bokashi composting systems will be available to purchase on the day. 

Horticulturist On the floor: FREE - All day

Mingle with Gianpaolo Gilardi and get expert advice on our plants.

Fynbos Seed Sowing - By Louise Nurrish: 9-10am | *R250

A practical workshop on how to sow and smoke fynbos seeds. We will cover sowing medium, seed treatments and aftercare of seedlings once smoked. Included is your own tray of smoked seeds to take home and watch germinate! 

Learning from nature, creating a fynbos garden: 11-12am |*R50 

Informative Talk by Rowena Smuts 

Autumn Pruning Workshop - By Cherise Viljoen: 1-2pm | *R250

Please bring your own pair of secateurs as Cherise guides us on how to prune and look after your indigenous plants.- 

Kids Activities:

Make a pinecone bird feeder | *R30 per child 

Plant a succulent pot | *R30 per child
