Dr Anna Mokgokong

Honorary Consul General of Iceland

Dr Anna Mokgokong is a co-founder and Executive Chairperson of Community Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd. (CIH), a 100% black-owned conglomerate with operations in South Africa, sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Europe. The company operates in seven vital areas of the economy, viz; healthcare, ICT, logistics, mining, infrastructure, power and energy and aviation. She recently has co-founded and is Executive Chairperson of Black Capital (Pty) Ltd, a 100% black owned Investment Company. She is the Chairperson of Seriti, the second largest coal supplier to Eskom and also the Deputy Chairperson of the Radisson Blue hotel in Umhlanga.

A medical doctor by training and profession, she graduated from University of Botswana with a BSc degree and Medical University of South Africa (Medunsa) with an MBChB degree. She is the first woman to be honoured by the University of South Africa (UNISA) with a doctorate in commerce - Doctorate Honoris Causa Commerce.

She is a member of the following organizations, International Women’s Forum, Business Women Association South Africa, Institute of Directors and South African Healthcare Professional Council
