Koos het sy loopbaan in die 1980s begin met die berugte Voëlvry protes-toer rondom Suid-Afrika saam met sangers soos Johannes Kerkorrel en Bernoldus Niemand. Sedertien het hy in Suid-Afrikaners se harte ingekruip en vermaak gehore nogsteeds van Oppikoppi tot intieme teaters.
Koos Kombuis noem dat sangers soos Bob Dylan, Neil Young en John Lennon sy rou musiekstyl beïnvloed het.

He started his career in the 1980s with the notorious Voëlvry protest tour around South Africa accompanied by with singers such as Johannes Kerkorrel and Bernoldus Niemand. Since then he has crept into the hearts of South Africans and still entertain audiences from Oppikoppi to intimate theatres around the country.

- Traveling from Barry Hertzog Avenue, pass Victory Park Shopping Centre on your left.
- Turn right at the Mc Donalds and Engen Garage into Road No. 3 Victory Park.
- Follow the road and drive straight into the Delta Park Entrance.
- At the T-junction in the park turn left, follow the road until you reach the parking area on your left.
- The Delta Park Centre will be in front of you.
