School of Practical Philosophy

About

In South Africa there are schools in Johannesburg, Lenasia, Soweto, East Rand, Sandton, Pretoria, Durban, Pietermaritzburg and Cape Town (Claremont).

The Cape Town school has been established since 1972 in Claremont, where it is known as the School of Practical Philosophy. The School provides a convivial atmosphere, a stimulating environment and an incentive for self-development.

Through its series of lectures and group discussions the School allows an opportunity for students to formulate a practical framework for solving life's problems. The practical exercises lead to increased awareness and sensitivity, while facilitating stress management skills.

The School recognises that within every individual there is an inherent desire for peace and contentment and strives to foster and make this available.
