Beneath the Baobabs Live

As part of our mission to maintain a year-round festival culture in Kilifi, and following a Sold Out New Year Revival, we are proud to announce: Beneath The Baobabs Live; a 1 day show dedicated to Live Kenyan Music on Saturday 16th April, 2022.

Beneath The Baobabs Live will open its gates at 2pm on Easter Saturday, 16th April with 2 Stages programmed until 10am the following day. Live music is one of our great loves as festival producers and we have a vision to grow our Easter plan to become one of the most prestigious Live music events in the East African calendar.

The program will begin on our beautiful new Twisted Fig Stage facing the majestic Baobab Deck. Soul singers Njoki Karu and Lisa Oduor-Noah, will blend with the Afro-fusion of Labdi and Ayrosh, building up to a climax with headline shows by Octopizzo and Blinky Bill.

The festival will also be presenting the music of Kenya’s North Coast with our Mijikenda Disco Stage, featuring the Giriama Sounds of Simba Wanga and Watamu’s local hero Mr. Bado and his Mwanzele group.
